This Privacy Policy explains how Guryny (“we”, “us”), the operator of Old Fashioned, handles information when you visit the Old Fashioned website (the “Site”).
1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect
- Reading progress. Which chapters you opened, stored only in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Your cookie choice. Stored in your browser so we don’t ask again.
- Analytics data (only with consent). If enabled, Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics help us understand how the Site is used: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type, referring site and approximate location. These tools only store cookies after you click “Accept all”.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your address and message to reply.
We do not ask for your name, payment details or account credentials on this Site.
3. Why we use it (legal bases)
- To run the Site and remember your progress: our legitimate interest in providing the service.
- Analytics and measurement: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- Answering your messages: our legitimate interest, or steps taken at your request.
4. Google and Microsoft services

5. Sharing
We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, analytics) under data-processing agreements, or when the law requires it. Some providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, using appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention
Local storage stays in your browser until you clear it. Analytics data is kept for up to 13 months. Emails are kept for up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act and US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise them, email kanibara@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
8. Children
Old Fashioned is family-friendly and rated 13+. The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS and we limit access to any data we hold to people who need it.
